In the Opening of the 115th Ministerial Session
Your Highnesses and Excellencies,
Dear esteemed delegates,
Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah and His blessings.
In the name of Allah, and with His blessings, we open the one hundred and fifteenth (115th) session of the Ministerial Council of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).
Firstly, allow me, on behalf of all of us gathered here in Jeddah, to extend my greetings to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, may Allah protect him, and to His Royal Highness Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Inspector General, and to the Saudi government and people, for their generous hospitality and warm welcome.
Your Highnesses and Excellencies,
We are faced with numerous issues, both regionally and internationally, which require concerted efforts from us to achieve our interests and fulfill the visions of our leaders, which guide us in realizing the aspirations and hopes of our peoples.
In conclusion, I pray to the Almighty, may He grant us success in our endeavors and bless our efforts with success.
